Tom started his music career playing ukulele at 4 years old (his father playing banjo and guitar), he soon progressed on to the guitar, starting to work with professional bands at 16 and has performed all over the world and at venues including the Albert Hall and the O2 Arena.
As well as being a busy, hard-working live musician Tom writes music for radio and TV his credits including the Radio 1 Live Lounge theme, BBC 6 Music Themes (Craig Charles, Steve Lemacq, Lauren Laverne, Mark Riley), Virgin Radio, Smooth Radio, Heart, LBC and TV themes on ABC in Australia.
Tom has had music used in a film starring Gary Oldman and has written and arranged music for a guitar syllabus for Trinity College London. He also writes production music which has been used on TV all over the world.
He also releases his own Ameriana/County music under the guise of TJ Walker….so as not to be confused with the younger, bearded, hat-wearing pop sensation Tom Walker of “Leave a Light On” fame!
The highlight of his career so far was playing “Whole Lotta Love” to an audience including Jimmy Page. Tom apologised to Jimmy aferwards for maybe not doing the song justice to which Jimmy replied that he thought he played it all right!
